Hetal Gandhi

It’s always nice to connect with old friends. Hetal and I go as far back as the 7th grade. Well over 17 years! And just a little factoid, she was kind enough to wake up early one morning, head to the beach and be my first ever model. So photographing her again was actually kind of special.

The photos were taken at her home and at Q-Ball (a local pool hall on Beach Blvd)

Here’s the photo of her taken back in 1997 (I think) in days of good old film. I admit, I sometimes miss the whole darkroom experience.

What do you get when you combine cloudless blue skies, 78 degree weather, crisp cool breeze and a warm Florida sun? Crowded beaches with absolutely no parking in sight!

But seriously though… I had a wonderful time hanging out with Anthony, Monika and their recently turned 1 year old daughter Natalia. I can’t believe that it’s been almost a year ago that I took her baptism photos. Where has the time gone? Natalia is developing into a beautiful young lady — so full of smiles, laughter and a curiosity.

Happy Birthday Natalia! You’re now officially the big O-N-E.

Jacksonville Mud Run

March 1st, 2009 Comments Off

The Jacksonville Mud Run is essentially a 10k (six miles), boot camp style race across mud friendly obstacles.  The event is one of many charity events that MS Society holds to raise money to help cure multiple sclerosis — an autoimmune condition in which the immune system attacks the central nervous system. This is the first year in Jacksonville and while there is room for improvement, it was an overall success: raising over $80,000!
